The Applewood Formal Dining Room Redesign is Underway

Extending a ‘casual elegance’ theme into the dining rooms

A year ago, we redecorated the lobby, community center and promenade with a more contemporary theme which carries through to the furnishings, wall finishes, lighting, artwork and carpets.

The introduction of the new Applewood Coffee Bar followed, which offers complimentary coffee and teas throughout the day, and a casual place to watch the ball game, enjoy a little shuffleboard or chat with a friend.

We’re also completely refurbishing all of our resident cottages and apartment-style homes–from floor-to-ceiling–before new residents move in. Enhancements include more open floor plans, new appliances, granite or quartz countertops, paint, custom closets, flooring, lighting and tile.

Applewood Improvement Plan Continues

Phase II of the Applewood Master Improvement Plan is now underway–a complete redesign of the Applewood formal dining room.

In partnership with our Resident Décor Committee, the interior design team has incorporated the fresh and lively design and color palette featured in the lobby which will create a seamless transition into the new dining spaces.

“This will be a complete makeover, from window coverings to seating, tables, carpets and paint colors,” confirms Keith Grady, executive director. “I think residents and their guests will appreciate how the new décor compliments the newer public spaces.”

Mr. Grady says renovations in the dining room are currently underway and his team anticipates completion by September. At that time, they will move on to the redecoration of the Bistro, Applewood’s more casual dining experience.
