Applewood Cuisine Features “Jersey Fresh” Local Produce

Our locally-grown “Farm to Table” cuisine is in full, delicious swing right now.
Heath Braunstein, director of dining services, says, “Residents are enjoying a rainbow of Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables that we acquired from local growers, some right here in Monmouth County.”

Fresh, steamed or added to favorite recipes, we’re serving local sweet blueberries, vitamin-packed yellow squash, crisp snow peas and mineral powerhouse, swiss chard. Later this summer, we’ll add fresh zucchini and sweet corn, more summer squashes and of course, New Jersey tomatoes!

Our printed menus and digital signage throughout the building describe all the courses for each meal, including these useful health markers:

At Applewood, you always have the freedom to dine the way you want, when you want. Perhaps you’re in the mood to grab a quick sandwich or salad in the casual setting of The Bistro, or prefer a leisurely restaurant-style meal, such as sliced beef tenderloin or crab imperial, presented by professional wait staff in our formal Applewood Dining Room.
