France Native Resident Launches Language Training Course

Jacques Wahide had just settled into his new home at Applewood late last year when residents asked when he would be hosting a class to teach French.
“My wife taught the language for years and I was excited to carry on some of her conversational techniques here at Applewood,” says Jacque, a retired electrical engineer.
On March 16, Jacques held his first instructional French language course for more than 20 students, celebrated with a French wine tasting for the students.
“I remember sitting in the back of my wife’s class and admiring how beautifully her American students spoke,” he recalls. “I hope this will be another enjoyable evening activity my new friends and neighbors will enjoy.”
The class will be held on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. for resident beginners or experienced French speakers.
