2021 A.V. Powell Seal Recognition Awarded to Applewood

Applewood has been awarded the 2021 A.V. Powell (AVP) Seal placing our 2020 actuarial reports in the top-tier of all continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) communities for long-term financial solvency.

According to Keith Grady, Applewood executive director, communities with the AVP Seal are in satisfactory actuarial balance with an above-average actuarial position. Senior living communities designated with the AVP Seal have maintained satisfactory actuarial balance with an above-average actuarial position.

“We prioritize transparent accounting, financial and insurance reporting in every department here at Applewood,” Grady says. “This designation is an important acknowledgment of our fiscal management efforts communitywide.”
