Here’s a senior discount that can save you a ton of money in 2019.  This is a great program to sign-up for if you or your friends are frequent travelers on the New Jersey Turnpike and already own a New Jersey E-ZPass.  To participate, drivers must meet the specified age requirements, own an existing New Jersey E-ZPass account, have a valid driver’s license issued by any state (doesn’t have to specifically be a New Jersey license), and have a vehicle registered in their name.

Use your E-ZPass on the NJ Turnpike with your senior discountTo apply for your Senior Citizen Discount Program for E-ZPass, all you need to do is send copies of the required documentation (driver’s license and vehicle registration) along with a completed application form to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.  While there isn’t a specific percentage of savings listed, drivers enrolled in the senior discount will receive a discount on the full fare of off-peak tolls on the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway.  A nice bonus of this discount is that drivers don’t have to live in New Jersey to qualify for this discount, so friends and family who are coming to visit can also benefit if they meet the application criteria!
