Expanding Preventive Health Screenings to Empower Residents’ Well-Being
At Applewood, the focus on the well-being of our residents is always top of mind. In addition to our one-of-a-kind Physician Lecture Series, we offer comprehensive on-site screenings for residents. Applewood’s partnership with CentraState Medical Center, an Atlantic Healthcare System partner, opens a comprehensive array of wellness and healthcare opportunities for every resident empowering them with the knowledge and tools to lead a healthier life.
We kicked off on-site screenings in July with an A1C Screening that provided a 3-month average of blood glucose levels. Not just for diabetics, this screening was recommended for anyone curious about their status and wishing to stay on top of their health game – early detection is key to prevention.

• Blood Pressure Management – Keeping Hearts Happy
Blood pressure is an essential aspect of cardiovascular health. We will offer on-site blood pressure screenings to help keep residents’ hearts in top-notch condition and support them on a journey to a healthier heart!
• Fall and Balance Prevention – Stay Steady, Stay Safe
Prevention is better than cure, especially when it comes to falls and balance issues. We will be offering an informative fall prevention lecture, followed by a quick 10-minute screening.
